Angels Waiting Ahead

 

        Like many writers, she is working on her memoirs entitled Angels Waiting Ahead. A Young Black Girl’s Unending Journey Finding Purpose and Voice. Many people may describe Raye Mitchell as a dedicated advocate for women and girls and a warrior willing to take on the most difficult tasks and challenges because she is fearless. I reality, Mitchell often states, “I remember my grandmother, who overcame unimaginable adversity, was always positive and always determined regardless of the consequences. She said, “there is no need for fear going into the unknown, because, God already has angels waiting ahead for you.”

        Whether writing about real-life experiences, or speaking on how women and girls can power shift, rise-up and claim their place at leadership tables in all sectors, Mitchell’s natural public speaking and storytelling ability inspires readers and audiences to dig deeper, reach higher and push harder to discover and hone their own ability to achieve a power shift in their lives. She draws upon her personal and professional experiences to invite and engage her audiences or readers to discover their own voices and tell their own stories.  

        Raye Mitchell is a retired Harvard Law School trained litigation attorney, author, speaker and power and influence expert.  Her expertise and passion is focused on helping young women and girls accelerate as global leaders.  Mitchell is also an award-winning activist and humanitarian recognized with numerous honors including the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public service for her philanthropic work with young girls as founder of The New Reality Foundation, Inc., a 501 c (3) tax exempt program supporting girls.

        Mitchell’s educational and professional credentials are impressive and expansive.  Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) earning first a B.S. degree from the Sol Price School of Public Policy and then earning her MBA degree from the USC Marshall School of Business and later earning her J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.

As a skilled storyteller, Mitchell captures and holds the attention of her audiences with real-life lessons learned in the trenches as an entrepreneur, activists, and litigation trial attorney combating race and gender inequality in the civil justice system. Mitchell is passionate about justice, bridge building and finding common ground in our communities and corporate environments. From tackling the growing crisis of invisibility at the leadership table plaguing our young Black women and girls, to fighting for evenhandedness and fairness in the civil justice system, to helping young women and girls prepare as leaders as skilled negotiators, dealmakers, and influencers helping teams, communities and individuals find common ground and resolve conflict.
